In the westernmost outpost of the archipelago, the sea birds and seals have a sanctuary. And on one of the islands, Storö, lies an amazing Inn with great food and comfortable beds. A perfect base camp for three days of exploration of Sweden’s most exotic paddling waters.
We start our Weather Islands trip with a tour of Fjällbacka. From the outer islands, we hitch a boat ride across the fjord to the Inn at Storö. There we have our base for two days of paddling among the three hundred and sixty five islands of the archipelago. We finish our days with a good dinner and maybe some half true paddling tales over a cognac or a glass of wine.

Previous experience
You don’t need to be a kayak expert to join out tour to the Weather Islands, but it helps if you have some paddling experience. The area can be windy and we adapt paddling to the prevailing conditions. You should be able to swim and be at least 15 years.
Time & Place
Vi meet at 09.00 in UpplevelseLadan, Gustafsberg in Uddevalla. The estimated return is at 17.00 on day three.
Food
Is there anything you can not tolerate or are allergic to, we will provide another option of course. Please contact us!
Included in the price
- All necessary paddling equipment (kayak, paddle, cockpit cover and life jacket)
- All meals during the tour (breakfast and two course dinner at the inn, packed lunch during the paddling)
- Two nights accommodation in a double room on the Weather Island Inn.
- Transportation to and from Hamburgsund and on to the islands with all equipment
- Cleaning of all equipment
- Guidance and instruction.
The price does not include alcohol with meals.
What to bring?
Except the equipment provided by Upplevelsebolaget you bring your own equipment. Below is a list of things that we find useful or necessary for the tour. To make your trip as comfortable as possible, pack your belongings in waterproof bags. If there is something you lack you can either rent or buy it from us when we meet. Please let us know if you have any questions!
• Hard-wearing outdoor clothes.
• A change of dry clothes, water tight packed.
• Rain and waterproof jacket and trousers. It may be cold out on the water.
• Sandals or other footwear for paddling, and trainers.
• Hat and gloves.
• Toiletries.
• Beachwear and towel.
• Sunscreen.
• Comfy clothes for time spent at the Inn.
